UCLA’s Evolutionary Medicine program currently engages students and faculty from numerous disciplines in a genuinely cross-campus effort to promote interdisciplinary research and training. The program’s growth and development ensures that UCLA remains at the forefront of research and education and is a leader in this nascent field. Academic exploration of evolutionary medicine has become increasingly popular in the last decade and UCLA is working to offer a variety of courses at all levels to students spearheaded by renowned faculty at the nation’s premier public research institution and to support teams of evolutionary biologists and biomedical researchers to collaboratively solve some of today’s pressing medical problems.
